The Celebration Stomp was written by Andi Povey (formerly Gibbons) to help us celebrate our Gate-opening.

Andi has helped with many 'Stomp and Chomp' composting sessions (in rain and better weather) when songs such as this were sung with great delight to aid the chomping process!! We are sure this will be enjoyed for years to come, and feel some sort of stomping dance is evolving that accompanies it. (Could also be modified for stomping the clay for the cob repairs.)

CELEBRATION STOMP

Gather all ye people round

all ye merry kin,

fill thy bowls with ale my friends

and celebrate here-in.

Down thy tools of harvest,

down thy tools of toil,

come and dance and sing our song

upon this sacred soil.

Oooooooh, wassailing, a wassailing

its good to reap and chomp,

wassailing, a wassailing,

stamp your feet and stomp!

Come on down ye village folk

join in with our fare,

bring thy yields to harvest stock,

there’s plenty more to share.

Praise this day: a gateway,

a portal for our souls,

to carry hope and inspiration for

fruition in our goals.

Oooooooh, wassailing, a wassailing

its good to reap and chomp,

wassailing, a wassailing,

stamp your feet and stomp!

Stories, tales and poems,

time for a good ole yarn,

sup more drink and dance my friends

down at Orchard Barn.

Gather all ye people round,

all ye merry kin,

raise thy cups with wine my friends,

let festivities begin.

Oooooooh, wassailing, a wassailing

its good to reap and chomp,

wassailing, a wassailing,

stamp your feet and stomp!
