
About us and OBee CIC
Peta Jane Gulliver and Sarah Partridge are the founding Directors of OBee CIC. Both women live and love Suffolk. They are passionate about creating community and re-establishing connection with the spirit of the land. Jean Routledge is Company Secretary. She is an avid recycler who is committed to taking action that helps preserve our precious planet. Stephen Conrad is our 3rd Director and Jez Gladwin our Treasurer.
OBee CIC sets out to
- actively promote environmental education and low impact living through hands-on learning
- provide indoor and outdoor teaching environments (in Nature / the countryside) that model sustainable use of natural resources
- create an inspiring venue for teachers of holistic practices such as Yoga
- preserve and enhance distinctive old orchard / small farmstead landscape
- bring East Anglian landscape to life by encouraging each individual to play their role in safe-guarding the future
- demonstrate the importance of human stewardship of nature’s biodiversity
- to foster community spirit
- to record and celebrate the annual cycle of the orchard
- to work in harmony with nature
- to establish community orchard and woodland
Our social mission: OBee CIC is a Community Interest Company whose vision is to inspire people to reduce their impact on the environment, improve their quality of life, gain new skills, live in a healthier and more satisfying way, and discover the enjoyment of community through co-operative activities.
