Dance to Welcome the New Year

 It was very interesting to see the slide show of the last twelve months, can’t believe what you have achieved since this was ‘just a dream’. Shows what can be achieved if one is brave enough to  take that leap of faith to realise a dream." Jude Banks

In spite of light snow flurries and forecasts of more snow, the Orchard Barn Dance was a huge success. People came from far and wide to dance and to welcome in the New Year. It was a lovely community gathering of old friends and new acquaintances. About 50 people viewed the slide show of progress during 2009 at Orchard Barn.

OBee CIC had been offered some unique Promises for their auction. These included a ride on a Harley Davidson, a Didgeridoo lesson, a Sound Healing treatment, and a flight in a 2-seater plane, Woodturning lesson, a Singing lesson, a sail down the Deben in a traditional yacht and more. We raised a total of £700 for OBee Community Interest Company. This money will help support their courses, events and volunteer programme. A BIG thank-you to all who came, made music, danced, offered and bought Promises, brought wonderful food to share and helped clear up the hall afterwards. We look forward to seeing many of you throughout the year for other events.
