

Venue, accomodation, travelling and lunches
Venue - Courses take place at Orchard Barn in Far Ringshall, near Stowmarket, Suffolk, UK, IP14 2LJ. You will be helping repair a 17th century barn or develop the site -so it can be made available for other environmental education projects.

Accommodation and travelling - If you live any distance away, we invite you to do the environmentally friendly thing, (as well as reducing your travelling time and costs). Come and camp for the week in the old orchard adjacent to the barn. Experience our low-tech approach to camping. Cook together in the evenings over a wood fire. Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation.
Alternatively, stay at a local B+B or self-catering venue and cycle to the training site - please ask us for details. If you live locally, we ask you to share a lift or come by bike or foot.
Lunches: A hearty lunch will be provided. If you have any special dietary needs please specify them on the booking form. Other meals are not included in the price of the course.
Caution: Be prepared to have your eyes opened to a new way of thinking about local wood and clay, have an amazing time and become addicted to working with low-tech building materials!

Basic camping in the orchard costs £6 per night. There are no mains services, so we ask you to be mindful about water use. You are invited to arrive on the Sunday afternoon to settle in and learn more about the Orchard Barn project. Breakfasts and suppers not provided, however, participants may choose to cook together over wood fire, so you may like to bring some basic (non-perishable) ingredients with you. A separate booking for camping is required, email sarah or call 077660-54042.
